SUMMER SOCIAL DOUBLES STARTS THIS WEEK — VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Summer Social Doubles runs every Tuesday & Thursday from 6-8 at Greenlake (usually Lower Woodland Courts). We need members to help:

Send out Emails reminding people to sign up
Manage the courts from 6-8pm on Tues/Thurs nights.

SEATTLE CLASSIC VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We have people come from all over the US and Canada for our tournament... help us show them some hospitality and help make it a great tournament. Email Bill Krekling if you can volunteer.

PAC CUP — SEATTLE

The Pacific Cup is a weekend team tennis competition comprised of the best intermediate players representing five West Coast tennis clubs including Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Palm Springs, Los Angeles and San Diego. This year, the teams will be coming to Seattle. Look for info coming soon on tryouts and lots of volunteer opportunities!

GLTA TOURNAMENTS

Congratulations to Jon Girsch, Chuck Pecka, Jason Brotman, Alan Draper, Tedd Romero and Andy Inthavong for representing Seattle in Palm Springs and Honolulu! Jon & Chuck placed runner-up in B Doubles at the Palm Springs Grass Tournament; Jason & Alan won the C Doubles, Tedd and his partner were A Doubles finalists and Andy won Open Doubles at the Aloha Tennis Open. Way to bring home the hardware Seattle!

STA SINGLES LADDER
The STA singles ladder is reset each year with the results of the Millro. Twice a year, a $50 prize is given out to the player with the most Grand Prix Points. Earn points as follows:

Issue and play a challenge (2 points)
Accept and play a challenge (1 point)
Win a challenge (1 point additional)
Lose a challenge (0 points additional)
Win by default (1 point)

YOUR BOARD MEETING:

Stop by the next board meeting for some free food and excitment with Robert's Rules of Order! The next board meeting will be at 4pm on May 13th at the lovely home of our President and Social Coordinator. As always, all members are encouraged to attend.
